Description
Not all who wander are lost is a large abstract painting measuring 121 x 121 x 3cm. Wild roses, savage and free reach feral branches to golden rays. Striving mercilessly towards the light, creeping arms wander ever up. Butterflies, delicate and delighting in their life, flutter around the summer blooms, without direction but never lost. I walk in fields full of sunshine, corn and grass swaying in a summer breeze. Flowers, intoxicating in their wild beauty grow savage and freely around me. I am not lost, but I am nowhere.
My inspiration for this painting is Summer. Summer fields full of corn, wild flowers in hedgerows and days full of light and vibrant colours. This painting has been centred around what summer colours are to me. The painting depicts a feeling of sunshine, when you must shield your eyes from the light and everything is seen through a haze and blur of heat. A beautiful wild summer.
Not all who wander are lost has been painted on high quality artist canvas stretched over a bespoke wooden frame. The painting has black boxed edges and is ready to hang.
