Description
Tiburon – Large painting 139 x 90 x 3 cm
Tiburon, a shadow in the deep, a predator ghost, seen and then gone.
Inspired by nature and snorkelling. I often swim and snorkel in the coastal waters near my home. There are times when my vision is reduced to fleeting shadows of dark and light and I wanted to suggest this in Tiburon…the shark. Shadows in the water play tricks with your senses. Did something big just swim out of my vision? Tiburon is an abstracted depiction of a shark, lazily swimming away in the water. It has been created by building up colour in layers over a long period of time to create the impression of haze and murk in the ocean depths. The colours are strong and vibrant and the image unusual. This painting is large and is a focal point for any room. It is ready to hang. Tiburon is a suggestion, a glimpse from the corner of your eye. A fractured moment. Was it ever really there? Tiburon.
