Search Engine Optimization and all that stuff Part two

Search Engine Optimization and all that stuff Part two

My YouTube video, although basic, now appears on page 1 of a google search if anybody types my name in google to view my art. I'm really pleased with this, now potential customers can not only view static images of my work but also watch a YouTube clip. I have gone on to do some experimenting too... It would seem the time it took me to create that first clip was unnecessary ..... there are loads of fantastic Apps out there that can do the job easily and quickly, including music and fade outs and all for 0.99p. I spent a whole afternoon playing with different Apps to see what effects I could create. All you need is a smart phone with access to Google play or the Iphone store and the images of your paintings in your photo album. I could easily produce a new video quickly and effectively to upload to my YouTube channel. I think I will start producing a video to go alongside each piece of Art, explaining my inspiration and colour selection and how I want the painting to make the viewer feel. I think this will give any potential customers a great insight into my working process and also give them a deeper insight into the painting and it's meaning and source.
The aim is to continue promoting my work via Youtube. YouTube is now the second biggest searchable site after google itself. This means it has millions of views each day. Google links to YouTube and reserves space on its search pages for YouTube videos. Its got to be worth the effort and even if it doesnt acheive what I am hoping its a great link for customers to see and a fantastic record of my paintings for me personnally.

Search Engine Optimization and all that stuff Part one

I have to explain..... I am a search engine optimization virgin... that is to say I have never taken any interest in it and I have never considered the value of it, I have my website and thats great right? WRONG. The idea is for other folk out there in this big marvellous world to somehow connect with my website. Now how does that work? Well from questioning every tech geek I know and spending hours googling how to promote my web page I have found out the basics, but please, dont take all I say as gospel, do your own research too.

From what I can make out its all about linking words and websites. For example if Angie wright Art is suddenly popping up on BIG sites such as Instagram, Pinterest, Youtube, twitter Facebook....... You get my drift, Search engines will begin to recognise the words and phrases that I am using and then when people search for those things my listing will be pushed up the rankings ! Google in its magic prowess links words and recognises phrases which are getting more hits, so the more you put yourself out there the more visability you will have, Simples right?

Well, it takes time!

This is an ongoing process, it needs cultivating like a garden and like anything thats worth its weight in gold it requires work and patience. Last night I made my first youtube video..... to be frank it's crap but hey im trying! The idea is to be visible in different popular places and then promote hits to those sites by linking it to your social media accounts. To be honest, I really wouldn't want anyone I know to see the first video I made, but I will get better at it. Trial and error, working hard and practice..... all the skills required to push forward in this field! However just so you can see my serious lack of skill in this field heres the link https://youtube/7za2Fh7B7Cc or search youtube for angie wright art Large paintings and original art for sale, I promise, I am going to get better!!!

The idea is to be more visible, and Im one step closer today than I was yesterday, so thats an improvement right?

Today ive downloaded some video making apps to my iphone so perhaps by tomorrow I will have the skills of Steven Spielberg, or perhaps not.

I will let you know how I progress and my next attempts at promoting angie wright art, Large paintings and original art

Large abstract original paintings for sale and the great outdoors- The Wild Things series

Large abstract original paintings for sale and the great outdoors- The Wild Things series

I have recently been working on a series of large original abstract paintings which are a blaze of colour. These works have been so inspiring to create and the first step for me has always been exploring the great outdoors. Inspiration comes to people in different ways. For me and the "Wild Thing" series my inspiration was drawn from the hidden corners of my garden. In these spaces the ground is left untamed, it's where the weeds thrive and the insects crawl. Don't get me wrong, I do mow the grass every now and again... however im the kind of girl who likes to leave the edges long ( im not sure whether this is due to my love of nature or perhaps laziness!) Im fortunate enough to have a huge house and garden in France. The seasons here are distinct with the winters cool and damp and the summers blazing hot. Recently It has been so hot during the day that I have begun walking my dogs in the late evening as the moon is rising and the sun long set. Its at this time that the inspiration for the "Wild Things" series came to me. This is when I saw the beauty in the neglected areas.

I knew immediately that I wanted these artworks to be LARGE. My idea was to bring these beautiful savage corners of the garden into the home, like a window of colour into a magical garden. I also knew that I would create works which were more abstracted. The hidden corners of the garden are wild and free. There is nothing preened and pruned here and in the same way I wanted my art to be free and flowing. I also realised that initially I just saw a blur of colour rather than the beautiful wild flowers hidden amongst the hedgerows. This had to be reflected ikn the artwork.

In the end the works created are a wonderful assault to the eye and fill the soul with a rush of beauty. The colours are a blurred abstract delight initially but then on closer inspection the viewer can focus in upon what is obviously a beautiful wild garden. Juxtaposed to the abstract blaze of colour are beautiful fine art butterflies and flowers. This keeps the viewer bewitched by the painting, searching for more visual delights and moving the eye around the whole artwork. I have included ghostly wild roses which for me completed the works by defining the nature of the garden. It was also a hommage to their wild beauty. I knew the message of the work would be lost with perfect flowers and this is what reminded me of the wild plants thriving in the uncivilised corners of my garden.

I hope you enjoy these Large abstract paintings. I have adored painting them and one large painting graces the wall of my living room. Numerous pieces in this series have now been sold and one was curated in a featured collection on saatchi art https://www.saatchiart.com/angiewright. Feral Fruits and Wild Roses- LARGE PAINTING

Feral Fruits and Wild Roses- LARGE PAINTING

I have been working on a series of large paintings which are abstract in nature but which gradually come into focus as beautiful wild landscapes. These large paintings capture the viewers imagination. The viewer is met by a wall of beautiful colour which fills the soul. This colour is juxtaposed with beautiful fine art details which only become clear as the viewer looks further into the colour. I love these large paintings, there is so much to see in them, but then when you unfocus it becomes a blaze of abstract colour once again. The Wild things series is available for sale.
