Polka Dot Poppies…I am joy. I do not hide I shine my light. Bold and vivacious, unkempt and pure of beauty. Mother nature’s Polka Dots. A wild floral soiree of red swaying heads, reaching upwards towards the sun through tangled grass and spindly vines. These Poppies are exuberant. These poppies are wild. These poppies are in carefree abandon. A Polka Dot of Poppies, celebrating life.
In Polka Dot Poppies I wanted to capture the wild, untamed beauty of a field of poppies swaying in a summer breeze. To create this I have used an expressionist style of painting to reflect the movement and vitality of the fields and poppies.
