Flourish is a large painting with an image size of 200 x 100 x 3cm. It has been created on two panels. Each panel measures 100 x 100 x 3cm.
Flourish, a heap of branches, twisted and crooked, a mound of earth, wasteland. Flowers flourish, life grows, beauty from waste, natures defiance.
My inspiration…a pile of earth, heaped and forgotten flourishes to life.
I painted Flourish with contrasting styles. A wild abstract expressionist background, chaotic and free, with cheerful effervescent flowers painted in with loose easy going strokes to represent the simplicity and beauty of life.
Flourish has been created on two panels (Diptych). The boxed edges are painted black and the painting is ready to hang.
