Autumn days. The garden feels quiet and still after the exuberance of summer. Now the mist greets me in the morning. Crisp denim cool air against my cheek a lulling and slowing of the days rhythm. A heavy pulse which resets natures cycle. Mellow skies and fading sunlight juxtaposed against burnished flaming flaunting flowers, over ripe and dripping their beauty as petals fall, sweet and heavy. A mellow, languishing joy and beauty exists here. A raw fulfilled dance of primal wild things. It isn�t the feverish dance of summer, but a comfort and content of laid back days and fiery colour. Demeters blooms, fecund and round on blue sienna earth.
This is my inspiration for Burnished Mist and Wild Beauty. Those sweet cool days in the wild corners of my garden, where colours burn and morning mist lifts to show a final brilliance of bold russet blooms and knotted, tangled shapes. Here...
